A Colepa - Levantamentos de Património - é uma plataforma visual de partilha de levantamentos arquitectónicos de edifícios históricos. Herdando o repositório prático da experiência acumulada em unidades curriculares do curso de Arquitetura da Universidade Minho, está vocacionada para a divulgação e valorização do património edificado português.

Durante os sete anos de funcionamento da disciplina de História da Arquitetura Portuguesa (2001-02 a 2007-08), do 5º ano da antiga licenciatura em Arquitetura do Departamento Autónomo de Arquitetura, e desde 2007 na unidade curricular de História da Arquitetura III, do 3º ano do Mestrado Integrado em Arquitetura da Escola de Arquitetura, Arte e Design da Universidade do Minho, os alunos foram sendo convocados para exercícios que implicavam o levantamento métrico de construções com forte valor patrimonial. Desses trabalhos de grupo resultaram desenhos rigorosos do estado atual de edifícios ou estruturas com diversas funções. A estes têm vindo a juntar-se levantamentos realizados no âmbito de dissertações de mestrado integrado que a CoLePa também acolhe.

Os casos de estudo seleccionados ao longo destes anos possuíam objetivos mais latos que o simples levantamento. Procurava-se que a investigação evoluísse de um trabalho de campo (registo e levantamento) e de uma recolha documental (texto, cartografia, entrevista) para uma análise tipológica, morfológica e construtiva dos objetos, baseada numa forte componente gráfica, bem como para uma eventual investigação formal evolutiva e/ou comparativa. Por conseguinte, a observação dava lugar ao desenho, ferramenta nuclear na construção de hipóteses ou na obtenção de conclusões. Com estes trabalhos pretendia-se contribuir para a caracterização formal e espacial, bem como a realização de um estudo histórico-artístico. 
Não é o conteúdo integral desses trabalhos que aqui se partilha, mas apenas o desenho do estado do edifício ou estrutura à data do levantamento, devidamente tratado e harmonizado. A liberdade académica que assistia a dinâmica de cada estudo promoveu diferentes níveis de interpretação que não compete a este espaço escrutinar. Porém, considerou-se de interesse público o acesso a este material técnico, visando estender este conhecimento à restante comunidade científica e à sociedade em geral.

 
Os estudos desenvolvidos abrangem diferentes escalas e funções, do religioso erudito ao lote habitacional, da arquitetura civil nobre à obra pública. A distribuição geográfica das propostas de estudo incidiu no noroeste do território português, procurando uma integração e descoberta regional com epicentro na Universidade do Minho. Esta plataforma digital reúne, pois, um conjunto de objetos arquitetónicos dos distritos de Viana do Castelo, Braga, Porto e Vila Real, com particular incidência nos concelhos de Guimarães e Braga, conjunto esse em permanente crescimento e alargamento, incluindo também outras regiões de Portugal. Não pretende ser uma alternativa aos recursos digitais já existentes no país, mas sim uma fonte complementar de informação e registo visual.

Colepa - Heritage Surveys - is a visual platform for sharing architectural surveys of historic buildings. It inherits the experience accumulated in courses of the Architecture degree at the University Minho and it is oriented to the promotion and valorization of the Portuguese built heritage.

 

During the seven years of the History of Portuguese Architecture course (2001-02 to 2007-08) and since 2007 at History of Architecture III, in the 5th year of the former degree in Architecture at the Architecture’s Department and in the 3rd year of the Integrated Master in Architecture of the School of Architecture, Art and Design of the University of Minho, respectively, students have been called to develop exercises involving metric survey of buildings with a strong heritage value. These group works resulted in rigorous drawings of the current state of buildings or structures with various functions. CoLePa also hosts integrated masters' dissertations that included surveys carried out within the scope of this platform.

 

Case studies selected throughout these years had broader objectives than a simple survey. Researches aimed at evolving from fieldwork (recording and surveying) and documentary collection (text, cartography, interviews) to a typological, morphological and constructive analysis of objects, based on a strong graphic component, as well as a tentative stratigraphical and/or comparative investigation. Therefore, observation gave way to drawing, a core tool in building hypotheses or reaching conclusions. These works were intended to contribute to the formal and spatial characterization, as well as to an artistic and historical study.

It is not the full content of such works that is shared here, but only the drawing of the state of the building or structure at the time of the survey, duly treated. The academic freedom that attended the dynamics of each study induced different levels of interpretation that are not up to this space to expose. However, access to such technical material was considered of public interest, aiming at extending knowledge to the rest of the scientific community and to the society in general.

 

Studies cover different scales and programmes, from the erudite religious building to the housing lot, from the noble civil architecture to the public work. The geographical distribution focused on the northwest of the Portuguese territory, seeking a regional integration and discovery within the University of Minho’s sphere. This digital platform brings together a set of architectural objects from the districts of Viana do Castelo, Braga, Porto and Vila Real, with particular focus on the municipalities of Guimarães and Braga, a set that is constantly growing and expanding, including objects from other regions of Portugal too. It is not intended to be an alternative to digital resources already available in the country, but rather an alternative source of information and visual record.
